Kenall Manufacturing in Kenosha Sold to a French Company

A Kenosha company---with almost 500 employees---has been sold to a French firm. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that Legrand SA---based in France---has purchased Kenall Manufacturing. Kenall makes commercial lighting products. Kenall built a $29-million-dollar plant in Kenosha after relocating from Gurnee, Illinois in 2014. At that time---the company was given $7-million dollars in tax credits by WEDC---the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

According to the newspaper---Kenall---so far---has received $5.5 million dollars in tax credits. Also---it is being reported that Legrand will continue to operate the Kenosha plant under the Kenall name---and---manufacturing will continue at its current site on 55th Street and 102nd Avenue.
