A Republican national convention delegate from Racine County said he's still learning more about apparent GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, but definitely won't support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in November.

Bill Jaeck, finance chairman for the 1st Congressional District chapter of the state Republican Party, said he will also be a GOP convention delegate this summer. He said he's committed under party rules to vote for U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas on the first ballot.

"After that, it's all up in the air, right?" he said.

With Cruz no longer a presidential candidate, it might be that Jaeck will wind up supporting front-runner Trump. But Jaeck said that's hard to say for sure right now.

"Because I don't know all of the policies, who he'd have on his cabinet. I don't know his key advisors. I just know some of the things he said on the campaign trail. I'm at the stage where I want to know more about him and what he stands for," he said.

Jaeck said "absolutely not" to the idea of switching to possible Democratic nominee Clinton.
