Kenosha County government offices will be closed to the public at 3:30 p.m. today due to the inclement weather. Essential county operations will continue. Tonight's meeting of the County Board's Planning, Development and Extension Education Committee meeting is also canceled.

Gateway Technical College: All campuses are closed as of Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Carthage College: Due to the predicted snow accumulation, Carthage College is canceling in-person classes and other campus events as of 1:30 p.m. today. Students are asked to watch for information from their instructors about potential alternate arrangements for afternoon classes. The cafeteria will remain open until 6 p.m. and Hedberg Library will close at 4 p.m.

Kenosha: The City of Kenosha has declared a snow emergency beginning at 12:00 PM (Noon) Wednesday February 12th, 2025. The snow emergency is expected to end by 7:00 AM Friday February 14th, 2025. Parking is prohibited on all streets in the city of Kenosha during a snow emergency.

Somers:  A Snow Emergency will be in effect from 9 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 12, 2025 through noon Thursday Feb. 13, 2025. Parking is prohibited on roadways during a snow emergency to allow for crews to clean up the roads.

Mt. Pleasant: Snow Emergency from 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12 until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, and parking restrictions are in effect during that time. During the Snow Emergency, parking is allowed only on Village streets where alternate-side parking regulations are in effect year-round. Those alternate-side regulations remain in effect during the Snow Emergency. A full list of affected streets is available in the Village ordinances. Parking is prohibited on all other Village streets and cul-du-sacs during the Snow Emergency.

Racine: The Commissioner of Public Works has declared a snow emergency beginning noon on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, through noon on Thursday, February 13, 2025. The City of Racine's Department of Public Works (DPW) is mobilizing to ensure roads are cleared as efficiently and safely as possible. Snow removal operations will continue around the clock. The staffing levels for this event have been increased since January. To maintain safety, plow operators are limited to no more than 16 consecutive hours of driving before a mandatory break is required. While residents may wish for their streets to be cleared immediately, the structured approach is necessary to maintain safety and accessibility throughout Racine. The Racine Police Department (RPD) will actively enforce winter parking regulations, with increased attention during snow events. Since a snow emergency has been declared, parking is prohibited on arterial and collector streets. Vehicles parked on these roads during the snow emergency may be towed.

Pleasant Prairie: A Snow Emergency has been declared in the Village of Pleasant Prairie beginning at noon, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, and remaining in effect until noon, Thursday, February 13, 2025. During a Snow Emergency, no parking is allowed on Village Streets. All Snow Emergency parking restrictions will be enforced throughout this time period.
