(WGTD)---The body of a woman found wedged in between the rocks in a Lake Michigan break wall at Kenosha has been identified as that of a Kenosha woman who'd been reported missing just before Christmas.
18-year-old Kayla Rose Sobczak was last seen leaving the area of 60th St. and 12th Ave. possibly in a charcoal gray sedan being driven by an unidentified male.
Police issued a bulletin in mid-January asking for the public's help in locating her. At the time, police said Kayla had a history of mental health and addiction issues and had been involved in prostitution. They said that Kayla had been known to frequent both Racine and Waukegan.
The news release which identified the body as being that of Kayla did not mention a cause of death.
Dental records were apparently used to identify the body.
Police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information is being asked to call Det. James Krein at 262-605-5280.
