(WGTD)---An arrest has been made in the case of gunfire that prompted passengers on a city bus to scramble for cover last month.
17-year-old Aloysius F. Watts was charged Tuesday in Kenosha Court with two counts of attempted first degree intentional homicide, eight counts of endangering safety and a count of possession of a firearm by a delinquent. Bond was set at $500,000.
According to a criminal complaint, Watts, standing outside of Westown Foods at Sheridan Rd. and 43rd St. the evening of March 24th, fired a handgun at an SUV.
A parked city bus was in the line of fire as the SUV sped off. While the bus wasn't hit, the five passengers who were on board ducked down then jumped off after the gunfire ended, according to the complaint.
The SUV sustained two bullet holes but no one inside was hit.
Also, a bullet pierced the exterior of a house across the street from the grocery store and wound up in a wall.
In all, 10 bullet casings were recovered from the scene.
Watts was arrested a few days later after a stolen car he was in crashed. He allegedly was found to be in possession of the gun that was used in the Westown shooting.
Watts' juvenile record includes two counts of car jacking.
