(WGTD)---Demonstrations and protests against the actions and policies of Donald Trump and Elon Musk are getting louder and more frequent.

Friday evening at UW-Parkside in Somers, one-time presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will headline a rally titled, "Fighting Oligarchy: Where do we go From Here?" While the event is free, tickets are available online. The event begins at 6:30.

It's one of three stops that the progressive senator from Vermont has in the Midwest next weekend. On Saturday, he'll be speaking at rallies near Eau Claire and another near Detroit.

In Kenosha, several hundred people held a rally at Civic Center Park this weekend. Many brought home-made signs.

Becky Cassity is a special education teacher with an 11-year-old son. Cassity said she's concerned about the future of education, health care and U.S. relations with other countries. "Everybody is kind of laughing at us right now. That's not great," she said.

75-year-old Sue Vasquez is hopeful. "I'm trying to stay positive and think that everything is going to be okay at the end and Trump's not going to win," she said.

Another demonstration was carried out last week at the Janesville office of Rep. Bryan Steil. A couple dozen Democrats from Walworth County demanded that Steil hold town hall meetings.
