(WGTD)---Personal enrichment classes are making a comeback at Gateway Technical College.
Ten, one-time courses that range from bread baking to basic household repairs to self-defense are being offered. They begin in early March.
In a news release, Gateway President Ritu Raju said the new initiative is another way the college can reach out and benefit the district’s communities. The classes will be taught by Gateway instructors.
Decades ago, such personal enrichment classes were offered on a regular basis.
A complete listing of all the courses currently available is online.
The classes cost either $20 or $45.
Residents who think they might have an interest in the program are encouraged to join an email list as new courses are expected to be added often.
The length of the classes that are currently listed are in the two to three-hour range.
