Retired KUSD Superintendent Joe Mangi Joins Education Matters Host Rotation

Former Kenosha Unified School District Superintendent and Bradford Principal Joe Mangi debuted this past weekend as the newest host of "Education Matters."  And his first topic was Peace Learning Circles, the Kenosha/Racine area non-profit that's dedicated to promoting peace education, conflict resolution and bullying prevention. The group also advocates for daily acts of kindness.

Joe's guests were Mary Beth Zuhlke, Mary Modder and Geraldine Bodi. The full program can be heard here.

Joe tells a great story from his days as Bradford principal of how simply listening to a troubled student put the girl on a successful career path--and in the process gave the school's automotive program a big boost.

Joe and four other hosts take turns selecting topics and moderating the weekly discussions. The other hosts are Steve Brown, Jess Scheeler, Dwayne Olsen and Karin Sconzert.

The program airs Saturday between 10:30 and 11:15. In addition, program archives are available by clicking the 'shows' tab and scrolling down for "Education Matters."
