Kenosha---More testing is expected to be done Thursday on the rebuilt Velodrome in Washington Park.
Two weeks ago, the City Council balked at paying the contractor after some hair line cracks were observed in the new concrete surface.
At the time, the contractor suggested that they were a natural occurrence as a result of the track's design and nothing to worry about.
But then some gaps were spotted between the edge of the pavement and the base material below.
Crews will be trying to determine just how much settling has occurred, and whether the cracks will get worse as time wears on, according to Ald. Jack Rose.
Rose is a member of the city’s Parks Commission as well as the Kenosha Velodrome Association.
