Kenosha---The murder cases against Donna Matthews and her brother Derrick will be tried separately.
In court Thursday, Judge Jodi Meier indicated she had little choice but to split them up. Derrick Matthews implicated both himself and his sister in statements to police.
Donna Matthews, with help from Derrick, is accused of killing her ex-boyfriend after years of harassment.
The decision means that the cases, originally scheduled to go to trial at the end of next month, will be delayed.
A status conference was scheduled for March 17th.
