(WGTD)---Racine businessman Ralph Malicki and Racine County Clerk Wendy Christensen will face each other in a special election next month to decide who will be the next county executive. Malicki and Christensen came out on top in a four-way primary held Thursday.
Malicki was the top vote-getter with 5,720 votes followed by Christensen with 1,905. Just 55 votes separated Christensen and third-place finisher Melvin Hargrove. Lorenzo Santos finished last with 1,643 votes.
The final election will be held Thursday, Dec. 19th.
The special elections were scheduled after the death of Jonathan Delagrave who died a few months into a new term as county executive.
