Dream Playground Floor Will Be Completely Replaced

Project Will Be Bid Out This Week

Determining that the rubberized-surface floor of the Dream Playground needs to be completely replaced---the city of Kenosha will bid out the project this week. The 15,000-square-foot Dream Playground---at Petzke Park---opened in October of 2015 as the city’s first fully-accessible playground. More than 3,000 volunteers worked to raise support---and---construct the playground.

The city has noted that the community participation in the playground construction had nothing to do with the floor’s performance. The floor was installed by a private contractor.
