All Saints Catholic Schools in Kenosha Reverses Closure Decision

(WGTD)---All Saints Catholic Schools now says it'll close its south campus in Kenosha rather than it's north.

The K-8 system originally said it would close its building adjacent to Holy Rosary on 22nd Ave. in a bid to save money.  But in a letter sent home to parents on Thursday, the board that controls the two schools now says it makes more sense to close the classrooms next to St. Mary's on 39th Ave. and keep open Holy Rosary.

Over 500 students are affected.

The board apologized for the flip-flop, saying that a more in-depth analysis revealed that Holy Rosary afforded a better and safer learning environment, would be easier to expand and was more centrally located to the majority of families that have children enrolled in the schools.

Meetings and tours for parents have been scheduled for next week.
