(WGTD)---The Racine zoo has announced the death of one of its tigers.

Naka, an Amur tiger, passed away from complications due to cancer surgery last week.

She was a month shy of her 19th birthday, and had been at the zoo for the past seven years. A zoo Facebook post notes that the average life span of such a tiger in the wild is between 10 and 12 years.

Amur tigers are on the list of critically endangered species.

The zoo says that Naka will be remembered for her love of cinnamon and for pouncing on boat buoys in the pool.
