Mayor Dickert announced the death in a statement issued late Wednesday afternoon and said, "Mark was a highly-respected and dedicated employee as well as a deeply faithful and caring pastor, and he will be missed by all who knew him."
A witness quoted by the Journal Times indicated that the driver of the car had been speeding and driving recklessly just before crashing into the back of the truck.
