(WGTD)---A former Kenosha alderperson has announced her candidacy for mayor, becoming the second candidate to announce.
Lydia Spottswood, a nurse by trade, has served on numerous non-profit and governmental boards, councils and commissions over the years.
She joins current Ald. Dave Bogdala in a bid to replace the retiring John Antaramian. The election isn't until next spring.
In a statement, Spottswood said: "I am running for mayor because I love Kenosha. It is humbling to live alongside resilient, hardworking people building up and caring for each other, individually, through local organizations, and in faith communities cross our city."
