(WGTD)---A Pleasant Prairie man who purportedly had three wives at once has been charged with bigamy. An arrest warrant was issued this week for 62-year-old Thomas Angeloff, Sr.
According to the criminal complaint, Angeloff's newest wife filed for divorce in late 2023. She discovered along the way that Angeloff was still married to two other women.
Last year Kenosha Judge Jodi Meier threw out the divorce case, saying the marriage wasn't valid to begin with because the earlier marriages were never dissolved.
According to the complaint, the woman said she was devastated to learn of the earlier marriages as well as a prior conviction for sexual assault. The victim in the 1989 sexual assault case reportedly was the daughter of one of his wives from a previous marriage.
The woman indicated she was happy to cooperate with investigators because she didn't want other women to go through the same thing. Just recently, she purportedly spotted an online video of Angeloff proposing to yet another woman.
Following the filing of the bigamy complaint this week, Angelhoff filed for divorce in the earlier marriages, according to online court records.
A call to Angeloff's attorney seeking comment was not returned.
According to the complaint, Angeloff has been married a total of five times.
