(WGTD)---Gateway Technical College is spreading the word about a job-training program for young adults who have the mildest form of autism.
The program teaches CNC operator skills to young adults with diagnosed level one autism.
An information session will be held Wednesday evening at 5 at the SC Johnson iMET Center.
The program is funded by Wisconsin Workforce Development and the Gene Haas Foundation.
Qualified students will only have to pay about $700 of the $3,200 program cost, according to a release from Gateway.
Students will receive additional tutoring and job placement services along with extra classes to acquire the needed workplace soft skills.
