(WGTD)---It turns out that last Tuesday afternoon a pair of weak tornadoes touched down in Walworth County as a result of a line of storms that moved through.
The first one developed in Boone County, Illinois and passed through McHenry County before crossing the state line and dying out east of Walworth.
The National Weather Service said the tornado's path stretched for 14 miles and it lasted 20 minutes. Winds were estimated to be around 80 miles per hour.
The tornado collapsed a barn on top of some sheep and picked up and destroyed a shed.
A slightly stronger tornado developed around the same time south of Darien where it caused extensive damage to a horse barn. Featuring 90 miles per hour winds, the tornado traveled just a mile over the span of three minutes.
There were no human injuries in either tornado.
Another set of tornado warnings was spawned by a storm that move through during the evening hours but no actual tornado occurred.
