(WGTD)---A strange set of circumstances led to emergency personnel responding to the Kenosha Regional Airport Friday morning.
Sewer gas started to back up into a new hangar.
The problem was traced to an obstruction in a sewer line.
Here’s the crazy part: That obstruction was caused by the installation of a natural gas line that burrowed right through the sewer line, creating the obstruction.
The faulty work was apparently done some 10 years ago and only noticed now after the toilet in the new building started being used.
Airport Manager Corey Reed tells WGTD crews were on scene Friday morning to rectify the problem.
