4 Injured in Overnight Shooting Incidents in Racine

From Racine Police: 

On August 28, 2022 at 0232hrs the Racine Police Department responded to the 300 block of Main St. regarding numerous calls for shots fired. Officers located a large crowd in the area along with multiple injured parties. During the investigation Officers learned that there was a large disturbance inside of a bar which spilled outside during which three people were shot. Aide was rendered and victims were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Two of the shooting victims were adult males and one was an adult female.

While investigating the incident in the 300blk of Main St. Officers heard gunfire south of their location. Due to the shooting scene and call volume Racine Police Department requested assistance

from the Mount Pleasant Police Department who responded and located a shooting scene at 9th St. and Wisconsin Avenue. No persons appeared to have been struck from this incident. The Racine Police Department would like to thank the Mount Pleasant Police Department for their assistance with this investigation.

On August 27, 2022 at 2209hrs Officers responded reference an adult male arriving at Ascension* Hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound. Officers learned the victim was shot in the

4300blk of Washington Avenue and was transported by a friend to the emergency room.

There are no suspects in custody reference these shootings at the time of this release. These are active investigations.
