Zachariah Anderson: Guilty as Charged

Mar. 22, 2023 2:45p

(WGTD)---A Kenosha jury convicted a 42-year-old Mequon man of killing the new boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend Wednesday.

Zachariah Anderson was found guilty of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, hiding a corpse and two counts of stalking. The jury deliberated about 10 hours over two days.

The murder conviction carries a life prison term, with the judge in the case having the option of setting a release eligibility date.

Anderson stood stone-faced when the verdicts were announced.

Sadie Beacham, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his three children, broke down in tears.

Sentencing was scheduled for May 16th.

Lasting three-and-a-half weeks, the trial was one of the longest in Kenosha County history.

The convictions came despite the lack of witnesses, a body and a murder weapon. The defense claimed there were too many holes in the prosecution's theory to warrant a finding of guilty.
