Westosha Market Shutting Down

The Westosha Market---an offshoot of Kenosha’s enormously popular and successful Harbor Market---is folding up its tent and calling it a day at the end of Wednesday’s market (August 10th). Citing unforeseen circumstances---the market’s Board of Directors determined that “the market was not a viable for the remainder of the season.” In a press release, Melanie Hovey, from the Westosha Market, said that “the Kenosha County Fairgrounds is an ideal location for a farmer’s market---and---in the future---it could be home to a market again.”  She added that the goal of the market was to be beneficial for customers and lucrative for vendors---but---the Westosha Market was a little ahead of its time trying to operate in the remote, rural location.
