KUSD Electors Undo Decisions Made at KUSD's Annual Meeting

Nov. 8, 2021 11p

(WGTD)---The $6,500 annual stipend for Kenosha School Board members has been restored.

Residents of the Kenosha Unified School District who showed up at a special electors meeting held at Indian Trail High School Monday night voted 390 to 264 to undo the actions that were taken at the district's annual meeting in September.

At that time, a small group of like-minded residents voted to slash board member compensation out of a dissatisfaction with recent board decisions, especially those dealing with the district's COVID response.

The at-times raucous audience that showed up Monday night dwarfed the crowd that had attended the annual meeting.

A citizens group petitioned for the special meeting.
