(WGTD)---A 'for rent' sign has been hung at the fledgling Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood.
The first building at the redevelopment site--LakeView Technology Academy--opened last month.
Later this year, the second building--the Kenosha Innovation Center--is scheduled to be ready for occupancy.
The building will house the offices of the non-profit that's running the site. But space is being made available for technology companies, innovative entrepreneurial enterprises and organizations that provide what are termed 'essential support services' that might include health, data science and cybersecurity-related companies.
A social media post from KIN says the new center hopes to offer a collaborative environment designed to foster creativity, growth and connection.
Leases are now being offered.
Once it's fully built out, the 107-acre site that was once home to auto manufacturing is expected to include many innovation-centric businesses and industries, residences and recreational opportunities.
