RACINE—The City of Racine is thrilled to announce the official launch of the highly anticipated Racine Beach Map, an interactive tool designed to enhance the beach going experience for residents and visitors alike. The map gives special attention to North Beach.
Adele Edwards, Chief Information Officer for the City of Racine and manager of the design team released the following statement:
“I am thrilled to introduce the Racine Beach Map, an innovative tool that brings convenience with an emphasis on safety to our beachgoers. With its interactive features and comprehensive information, the map is designed to empower visitors and enhance their experience at Racine's beautiful beaches. We are committed to providing the best amenities and resources for our residents and tourists, and the Racine Beach Map is a testament to that commitment.”
Amanda Miller, Management Information Systems (MIS) Intern at the City of Racine and member of the design team shared the following quote:
“Our primary focus during the design process was the safety and convenience of beachgoers. I’m proud to have contributed to the creation of this map, a powerful tool that combines aesthetics with functionality built on the ArcGIS product from Esri. I can’t wait to hear from beachgoers about their experience using this map.”
With the new map, users can zoom in and explore the various amenities available at the beach, including designated parking areas, restroom facilities, swim zones, walking paths, and other points of interest. The map aims to empower beachgoers with essential information, enabling them to plan their visit efficiently and make the most of their time at the beach.
