(WGTD)---County fair season has arrived in Wisconsin. The first fair has already been held.
WGTD Community Matters co-host Jennie Tunkieicz began a series of programs last weekend featuring representatives of the Kenosha, Racine and Walworth county fairs.
Richelle Kastenson is a member of the 39-seat board of directors of the Racine County Agricultural Society—that’s the non-profit that plans and carries out the Racine County Fair.
The fair celebrated its centennial last year. This year’s fair will be held from July 26th through the 30th .
New at the fair this year…a rodeo and a policy change. Fair-goers will be able to stroll the grounds with alcoholic beverages in hand.
The Kenosha County Fair will run from August 16th through the 20th.
The Walworth County Fair is held in the days preceding Labor Day.
