(WGTD)---A Racine man allegedly fatally shot his step-brother-in-law in a dispute over a matter in probate court.
38-year-old Ronny Hanson was charged Tuesday with 1st Degree Intentional homicide in the death of the 45-year-old man, who isn't named in the criminal complaint.
The shooting occurred Thursday evening in a home at 400 Victory Ave., the property that is the subject of the court dispute.
Hanson claims he only fired his gun because the victim was choking him.
The complaint notes that Hanson remained at the scene and cooperated with police when they arrived.
