Man Sought for Allegedly Lighting His Girlfriend on Fire

8-4 Update: The suspect was taken into custody in Chicago. The victim, while still in critical condition, is expected to survive. 

(WGTD)---In Salem Lakes early Sunday morning, a man reportedly set his girlfriend on fire. 

The woman is in critical condition, and law enforcement in Kenosha County and in Chicago are looking for the man. 

According to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept., deputies and the Salem Lakes Fire Dept. responded to a residence near 86th Pl. and 245th Ave. just before five. A woman said her boyfriend had set her on fire after threatening to kill her children. 

The victim was taken to the hospital with severe burns. The boyfriend was no where to be found. 

The man was identified as Myron Bowie who is said to be driving a black Cadillac with Illinois license plates. Bowie--believed to be in his 30s--has been known to stay in the Wicker Park and Logan Square neighborhoods of Chicago.
