(WGTD)---Media outlets are reporting that President Trump is expected to fly into Waukegan for his Kenosha visit that's to include a walking tour of areas damaged by last week's civil unrest and a panel discussion.
The tour is expected to begin at 12:40. He's to arrive at Bradford High School at 1:10. That's where National Guard troops that have been protecting the city since last week are staging. A panel discussion on "Wisconsin Community Safety" is scheduled between 1:30 and 2:30.
Hundreds of no parking signs and barricades sprung up overnight in the area.
Barricades appear ready to be moved into place to cut off side street access to Sheridan Rd. from 91st St. all the way north to 60th St. Side street access to large parts of 22nd Ave., Washington Rd. and 39th Ave. appear ready to be restricted.
As of 9 a.m., 60th St. on either side of the elevated tracks was blocked.
Temporary signs that restrict parking until 2 p.m. are up along 60th St. from Sheridan to the railroad tracks, and on side streets one or two blocks in either direction.
The White House announced Saturday night that Trump would be coming to Kenosha to visit with law enforcement personnel and view the damage.
No street closures were announced in advance.
Gov. Evers, Kenosha Mayor Antaramian and County Executive Kreuser all asked Trump to postpone the visit. The mayor for one said Monday he never received a response.
