Last Chance: Kenosha Mayoral, School Board Candidates to Take Part in Final Set of Forums

Mar. 21, 2024 11:15a

(WGTD)---On one level, the battle to succeed Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian has boiled down to one of endorsements. In recent days, the two candidates, Dave Bogdala and Lydia Spottswood, have been rolling out the names of influential Kenoshans who’ve publicly gotten behind their respective candidacies.

In political circles, perhaps the most anticipated pronouncement was from Antaramian himself. After initially saying he wasn’t sure whether he would make an endorsement, Antaramian last week declared his support for Bogdala. Antaramian is declining to elaborate beyond a written statement put out by the Bogdala campaign.

The two candidates will meet at least one more time in a forum that’ll be hosted by WGTD Thursday evening.

Although the event will be streamed live and then archived on our Facebook page, an in-person audience is invited. It’ll be held in HARIBO Hall beginning at 6:30.

The mayoral candidates will be followed at 7:30 by a Kenosha School Board forum.

Six of the eight candidates that'll be on the ballot will appear. One of the two no shows bowed out of the race while the second--Brian Thomas--can not appear because of a work commitment. A declared write-in--Robin Cullen--will also participate.
