(WGTD)---A former Walworth County sheriff’s deputy was sentenced Friday on charges of sexually assaulting a half-dozen vulnerable women and girls over a ten-year-period while off-duty.
38-year-old Gerardo Baca pleaded guilty earlier this month to charges of Attempted 3rd Degree Sexual Assault, Capture an Image of Nudity and two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of an Intoxicated Victim. 16 other counts were dismissed.
With credit for time already served, Baca will spend the next 21 years behind bars.
According to the criminal complaint, Baca in most cases befriended the alleged victims before taking them to his Delavan home where the assaults allegedly occurred. Several of the alleged victims were said to be highly intoxicated. Two were girls who were working as interns.
