(WGTD)---A Paddock Lake woman lost her home in a house fire early Wednesday morning.
Salem Lakes Fire Chief Jim Lejcar said the woman was awakened by a smoke detector just before 1 a.m.
A fire of undetermined origin had begun in the attached garage. Responding firefighters were unable to keep it from spreading to the one-story home.
Firefighters had to truck in water and were hampered by the weather.
No one was hurt.
A disaster response team from Journey Church is assisting the woman, who lived in the house by herself.
