(WGTD)---A member of both the Racine City Council and the Racine County Board has been chosen to serve as executive director of the Kenosha County Food Bank.
Melissa Kaprelian will manage the initiative that serves as a clearinghouse for donated food and as a supplier for several Kenosha-area food pantries.
The food bank currently shares space with its counterpart organization in Racine, the Racine County Food Bank.
Kaprelian, although she lives in Racine, has many ties to Kenosha County. She grew up on a Kenosha County farm and is a former business development liaison for the Kenosha Community Health Center. She's also a former member of the board of directors of the Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency.
