Deferred Prosecution on Tap for Kenosha Used Car Dealers Who Made Headlines

Oct. 9, 2023 5:10p

(WGTD)---A pair of used car dealers who urinated on a customer’s driver’s license after she walked away without buying a car have signed a deferred prosecution agreement.

Bryan Slaven of Milwaukee and Zachary Brugioni of Lake Forest, Illinois had both been charged with theft, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

Under the deal, the state will dismiss all three misdemeanors and issue instead disorderly conduct tickets. That’s if the defendants each perform 50 hours of community service and follow all of the rules of their bond over the next 12 months.

A hearing on the agreement—which has to be approved by a judge—is scheduled for Tuesday.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim had gone to NH Auto Sales on south Sheridan Rd. in Kenosha to test drive a car. As a prerequisite, the woman temporarily surrendered her driver’s license to the salesmen. The woman left the business without making a purchase, but forgot about retrieving the license. The salesmen apparently were annoyed because before leaving the victim had purportedly become “loud” which prompted another customer to back out of a sale. A few hours later, a social media video appeared of one of the defendants bending the woman’s license while the other urinated on it.

The deal that’s up for review Tuesday includes restitution to the woman of $14.28.
