Armed Stand-Off with Shots Fired in Pleasant Prairie Monday Night

A 59-year-old Pleasant Prairie man was taken into custody after a three-hour stand-off with Pleasant Prairie Police at his home in the 8500 block of 48th Avenue Monday night.  At approximately 7:15 PM---neighbors in the area called police and reported that a neighbor had fired a weapon outside of his home multiple times---and then---retreated back into his house. Pleasant Prairie Police responded and set up perimeter around the home to contain the individual and the incident. The  Kenosha County Tactical Response Team was notified and responded with tactical personnel and negotiators.  As the Tactical Response Team approached the house---a shot could be heard from inside the home.  The lone occupant of the dwelling then exited the home---verbal commands were given by officers---and---the male suspect failed to follow those commands. He was then hit with a less-than-lethal impact round---and---then taken into custody.  The suspect was then treated and released from Froedtert South Medical Center and was taken into police custody.  He is currently being held at the Kenosha County Jail awaiting his initial court appearance.  No one else was injured in the incident.
