A Re-broadcast of The WGTD Radio Theater
Now in its 11th season, the WGTD Radio Theater will showcase the 93rd live theatrical performance of its seven-time award winning, original space drama, “MARS: Inside and Out” at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015
The series was written by Steven Brown and Michael Ullstrup, co-executive producers and creators of WGTD Radio Theater.
“Mars has always been a viewed as the ‘angry red planet’ in the sky, and yet it is very much like our own Earth,” according to Brown. “In this new space drama, we take a different look at Mars and even use current information that is sent back to Earth every day by the rover craft that is sitting on Mars right now. Also, we pay tribute in our space drama to science fiction writer Ray Bradbury, who passed away in 2012 and who grew up in Waukegan, Ill. Also, at the end of our program, we’ll pay respect to my late cousin Leonard Nimoy from ‘Star Trek’ who passed away on Feb. 27, 2015.”
