MS - Greg Borowski

Rebroadcast from 2004-  Greg Borowski, author of "First and Long: A black school, a white school, and their season of dreams."  The book chronicles what happened back in 2001 when a mostly white public high school in an affluent suburb,  Shorewood,  and a mostly black private high school with mostly inner city students,  Messmer,  created a combined football program.  A dcoumentary film ("Messwood")  that updates the story to the present day is being screened at UW-Parkside Saturday, May 20th, at 6:30 in the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities.
