The Morning Show - 7/22/13

John McManus, author of "September Hope: The American Side of a Bridge Too Far" (which is now available in paperback), discusses a critical Allied offensive in 1944 - Operation Market Garden - which proves to be an ill-conceived effort to hasten the surrender of Nazi Germany and had exactly the opposite effect. McManus's book is a careful analysis of what was most wrong with this plan, primarily the brain child of Britain's Field Commander Montgomery.
