A lost interview finally airs eight months after it was recorded. The conversation is with Jon Aronson about two of his books, "Race" and "Unsettled." The former examines how human beings came to see themselves as distinct races--a remarkably late development in our history, as it turns out--while the latter is a candid view of Aronson's own struggles to come to terms with the nation of Israel, its place in the Middle East, and how it has conducted itself with its neighbors. Aronson is a Jewish-American with strong family ties to Israel and great affection for the country and its people, but with concerns about Israel as well.
