Our guest is Sandra Steingraber, responsible for "Living Downstream: An Ecologist's Personal Investigation of Cancer and the Environment," which has just been released in a second edition. She grew up in rural Illinois and was diagnosed with bladder cancer as a college student in her early twenties. Thankfully, she survived and has been studying the link between environmental factors and cancer ever since.
