Here's the seasonal program schedule for WGTD from Wisconsin Public Radio.

DECEMBER 2019

Sunday 22

1 p.m. "Wisconsin Classical" - A Five Lakes Holiday Madison musicians, from the Oakwood Chamber Players to the UW Concert Choir, celebrate the season.

2 p.m.  St. Olaf Christmas Festival - From St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., this annual festival includes hymns, carols, choral works, and orchestral selections featuring more than 500 student musicians and the St. Olaf Orchestra.

5 p.m. "Simply Folk" - Songs Old and New for Christmas and Hanukkah.

Tuesday 24

9 a.m.  A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols - Broadcast live from the chapel of King’s College in Cambridge, England and heard by millions around the world, featuring the King’s College Choir. Members of the college, choir and community provide the readings.

11 a.m. "Wisconsin Classical" - A Five Lakes Holiday Madison musicians, from the Oakwood Chamber Players to the UW Concert Choir, celebrate the season.

12 p.m. Christmas at Luther College - Five choirs, orchestra, bell choir, organ and audience members are featured in a rebroadcast of selections from Luther College’s annual holiday concerts. From the rural northeast Iowa community of Decorah, this performance features traditional and new arrangements of seasonal favorites.

1 p.m. Christmas with Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs -  NPR’s Korva Coleman hosts one of the great holiday traditions in America, the choirs of Morehouse and Spelman Colleges. Two of the most prestigious historically black institutions in the nation get together to present a joyous celebration of spirituals and carols.

2 p.m. Hanukkah Lights 2019 - An annual NPR favorite, with brand-new Hanukkah stories. Susan Stamberg hosts.

Wednesday 25

9 a.m.  Holiday Music from WPR - Stephanie Elkins hosts a festive selection of wide-ranging music from WPR’s extensive collection of classical holiday recordings.

12 p.m. "Wisconsin Classical" - Carols with the Eau Claire Master Singers Lori Skelton hosts an hour of carols from the group’s annual Festival of Lessons and Carols.

1 p.m. A Chanticleer Christmas - New for 2019, an hour of a cappella holiday favorites, new and old, presented live in concert by Chanticleer, the superb 12-man choral ensemble known as "an orchestra of voices."

12:30 p.m. Wisconsin Classical: Madison Symphony Mahler 8th

2 p.m. Wisconsin School Music Association Honors Concerts - Over 400 high school students were chosen to participate in this year’s High School State Honors ensembles. This two-hour broadcast includes performances by the Middle and High School Choirs, Bands, and Orchestras. 

5 p.m. "Simply Folk" - Ring in the New Year with music that celebrates new beginnings, along with some songs for Kwanzaa.

JANUARY 2020

Wednesday 1

10 a.m.  New Year’s Concert from Vienna - The Vienna Philharmonic presents its annual New Year’s celebration. Tune in for a festive concert of waltzes, polkas, and more from the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.

Sunday 5

5 p.m.  "Simply Folk" Sing-Along Show - Join Dan Robinson and the "Simply Folk" house band for our annual sing-along show, live from our Madison studios. Add your voice to our most popular show of the year!
