Double Homicide in Kenosha

(WGTD)---Kenosha Police have released more information about a double homicide that occurred early Wednesday morning. A suspect was taken into custody but has not yet appeared in court. 

The victims are a 49-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.  

Officers responded to a home in the 900 blk. of 46th St at about 4:30 a.m. That's just west of Sheridan Rd.

According to a news release, the original call was for the investigation of some sort of sex crime. But when they arrived, officers found the two deceased subjects.

A 24-year-old man with an address of either where or near the deaths took place has been booked into the Kenosha County Jail. He's being held on charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Strangulation and Suffocation and child abuse. 

Unconfirmed scanner reports indicated that the victims had been stabbed. 

Police said in an updated news release that four children were present: A pair of 15-year-olds and other children ages 10 and 6. One of the 15-year-olds was described in the release as a "victim" but no details were provided.
