Cycle Fatality Identified; 2nd Crash a Day Later Results in Another Death

Updated 5-1 to reflect the second death.

The female motorcyclist who was killed Saturday evening in a motorcycle crash on Fox River Road (Highway W) in western Kenosha County has been identified as 47-year-old Lisa Fagan from Illinois.

According to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept., the three motorcycles were all heading south when the operator of the lead bike failed to negotiate a curve and lost control. His bike slid into a second which then caused the third bike to crash.

Fagan was the passenger on the second bike.

There were five other injuries reported in that crash which happened near the entrance to the American Girl distribution center.

Another motorcycle accident over the weekend left a 25 year-old Mt. Pleasant man on life support.

James Malnar II of Racine died Monday night, according to an updated release from the sheriff's dept.

The second crash occurred Sunday night on Hwy. 11 just east of Union Grove. According to a press release, a motorcyclist was thrown from his bike as it left the road just before 9:30 p.m.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The victim was not wearing a helmet.

A 26 year-old motorcyclist who witnessed the crash was arrested for impaired driving.
