Part One: We speak with Isabel Rivero Vila, a former Carthage College faculty member who now teaches at American University in Washington DC. She came back to Carthage for the screening of a remarkable documentary film she has created titled "Afrykas and the Magic Box," which celebrates cinema in Senegal - and celebrates the place of mother figures in that culture. Part Two: from the archives, Indian chef and cookbook author Raghavan Iyer, talking about his book "660 Curries." Iyer passed away on March 31st after a courageous (and public) battle with cancer.
