Carol Sabbar, Director of Information Services - and Lizz Zitron, Outreach Librarian - from Carthage College will join us for a discussion of SOPA and PIPA, the proposed legislation for combating online piracy that has prompted widespread objections and protests that these measures may lead to widespread censorship on the internet. A number of major websites such as Wikipedia suspended operations one day last week to protest the proposals.
