Education Matters - 07/06/19

Host Steve Brown welcomes Cheryl Brown Henderson. They will discuss the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case of "Brown v. Board of Education."  Cheryl is the daughter of the late Rev. Oliver L. Brown, after whom the court case is named. 2019 marks the 65th anniversary of this landmark court case. The "Brown" case literally changed America. Many people viewed it as a mid-20th century course correction that ushered in a modern America that must grapple honestly with the promise of equality and opportunity for all of its citizens.  Brown is also a powerful example of how change can happen and the important role that law plays in shaping the very character of our country.
