(WGTD)---Southeastern Wisconsin residents interested in becoming either truck drivers or machine operators will get a helping hand via the latest allocation of funds from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
The agency has announced over $10 million in grants to local workforce development boards, including the agency that covers workforce needs in Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties.
A grant worth over $600,000 will support 60 participants in two cohorts of C-N-C boot camps at Gateway.
Other students will benefit from Workforce Development Board funding of commercial driver’s license training programs, including inmates at the Ellsworth Correction Center, a minimum security prison for women.
