Rumors Prompt Statement From School Officials

Jan. 2, 2025 9p

(WGTD)---Administrators at Westosha Central High School in Paddock Lake are fighting inaccurate information on social media.

In a letter to Westosha parents this week, District Administrator John Gendron and Board of Education President Steve Richter acknowledged receiving numerous of what were termed “outside” reports of alleged inappropriate behaviors in a locker room at the school.

Some of the reports involved a purported transgender student.

According to the letter, the district immediately investigated the rumors but found no evidence to support them.

The letter goes on to note that no factual reports of inappropriate behavior were made to either the district or to the sheriff’s department.

In a post on its Facebook page, the progressive group called  “Forward Kenosha” believes it’s no coincidence that a school board election is right around the corner. It accuses right-wingers of spreading false information as a way to stir up fear and attract votes.
