(WGTD)---A strong northeast wind over the past couple of days blew water-logged trash and algae into the Kenosha harbor channel.
It piled up against the south wall, alarming passersby and generating dozens of comments on social media.
Volunteers and the city's Parks Dept. cleaned up much of it Tuesday.
In addition, Katherine Marks, who heads up the Keep Kenosha Beautiful project, was planning on working with local teens Wednesday morning to remove any trash that may have accumulated on the beach at Simmons Island.
